Some people say one thing and do another. As you get older you may even think “hey I’m pretty good at spotting the bullshit.” But it’s all an illusion. The big one’s coming. The high fraud. And you’re the victim.
Let's say you're a middle aged man with kids and a team to run. Let's say you've gotten pretty good at their lame ass excuses and you can tell when they're lying so you think you're good at spotting bullshit. A lot of times this is easy because you are in a position of relative power and simply by confronting your subordinates you can put them on their back heel and then if they start sputtering you know that they are lying to you.
Now, let's say someone has chosen you as a mark. You trust them, which you should never do. In fact you first heard "don't ever trust anyone" directly from them. Still, for whatever reason, there's this magnetism. And you find yourself being sucked in, little by little, and then one day they suck the life out of you. They drop the big one. They crush you and your soul. They've been running the long con. You're the mark. You get taken. You get crushed. They move on to the next one.
