there's no one answer here since everyone is different. here's a list of ideas:

cut out as many stressors in your life as possible. if you can't cut some out, figure out how to manage that stress better.

avoid distractions like social media and being glued to your phone. i disabled nearly all notifications on my phone and now get maybe two or three a day. i don't use social media except to chat with friends.

don't check the news more than like once a week because it's almost always negative, and you can't do anything about 99.999% of what's going on.

money is time. the bigger financial buffer you have the more secure you'll feel about the future. so save a lot and invest wisely.

try the typical relaxation techniques like meditation and/or yoga.

take long vacations if you can.

don't work or think about work outside of regular hours unless absolutely necessary.

don't isolate yourself. humans are social creatures. be social. if you have social anxiety, you can try therapy techniques on your own or with a therapist.

take random days off where you intentionally do nothing.

some people find journaling helpful.

cut back on caffeine if you're anxiety-prone.

no drugs.

exercise at least 2.5 hours per week. the more the better, but don't overdo it.

go to sleep at the same time every day even on weekends. if you have sleep issues, exercise more, and do the exercise earlier in the day. read up on good sleep hygiene.

eat unprocessed or minimally-processed foods. lose weight slowly if you're overweight (no more than a pound or two a week).

do things you enjoy. take breaks from serious stuff.

make your room/apartment/house/etc. as cozy as possible.

scramble your xo password.

leave xo forever.
