The Ottomans had the same problem: their soldiers had fancy muskets but they thought it was beneath them to load the ammo. They would ride on camels while an assistant chased them on foot. After taking a shot they would hand the musket to their assistant and wait for him to reload it. Napoleon's men loaded their own guns and mowed them all down. |
