Why has the Olympics gotten so much less popular?

It was a huge cultural event in America. 1994 was such a big deal that Tonya Harding was willing to have Nancy Kerrigan taken out so she could get in. But something changed. Today, America barely pays attention to it. I was in line recently at an AT&T store and figure skating was on the TV. Now you can stream whatever you want at any time so the whole thing seems less special. also, we don't really have a culture of everyone watching the same prime time tv events anymore. even as recently as the 90s, the world series would rival super bowl tv ratings. not anymore. The other is that almost all popular culture was cooped by shitlibs so many have no interest in turning on the halftime smut show etc. |
