But given that most Ivies let you change majors any time for any reason, I doubt that they are admitting certain majors at higher rates:

The only exception I can think of is Penn, where admission to Wharton is much more difficult than admission to Arts and Sciences. And sorry, but if anything, being female and listing physics as your desired major gave you an enormous boost.
Assuming you are not flame, all I can say is that sucks to apply to college while Asian. Elite colleges assume that Asian applicants will have perfect SAT scores, so they basically count for nothing. You won't be admitted without some exceptional extracurriculars. At least that was the case historically. I'm going to LJL at the racists who attacked affirmative action on this bort for years who will be demanding it be reinstated once all of the Ivies are 80%+ Asian in the post-AA world. |
