But what I've found is that it's still a competitive hiring market for people who actually know what they're doing. They sometimes treat me like a safety school and accept my offer while continuing to interview in the couple of weeks before they start, then back out before their start date. He accepted then took an in house job before starting which he said was his dream job (lmfao). Another woman couldn't take the stress and took a job with a DA's office. A recruiter for a terribly mediocre in-house job seeking 12+ years experience told me they got 300+ applicants in the first few days, dozens of which came via referrals from current employees. If even 20% of those are quality candidates, that's 60+ quality candidates.
There is not much hiring, and the offers they're sending out match the imbalance between supply and demand. |
