I'm still trying to figure out the ins and outs of the place but it seems pretty fascinating. There's an ineffable quality to the banter and engagement here that just pulls you in. In my few days here, I've seen people seriously discussing--and making material progress in advancing our understanding regarding--topics as diverse as high business intrigue, numismatics and associated classical historiography, topology, law and jurisprudence (which this site seems to have a particular panache for), literature both western and eastern, classical and romantic music, street poetry, zoology, phylogenetics, stratigraphy (ordinary and magneto), and various other topics which in my short time to write this poast I must omit not for their lack of quality or character but merely to preserve in the reader that much more vigor with which to engage with other portions of the site beyond my own poast which inevitably beckon him as a light on the far side of a bog or moor draws one in on a gloomy autumnal evening. It's a testament to the virtue of the people who have gathered here and taken up their scholarly residency. In short, I think you and I are really going to liek it here and we've found something of a special place which deserves our exploration and attention. We're lucky to be here, brother. It's been carefully stewarded over the years, benefiting from what appears to be an incredible investing acumen held by many poasters here, such that it has an endowment rivaling a mid-sized PE fund. But it's purpose isn't private, though it certainly could be called equitable: it's designed to help those on XO in times of exigency or need stabilize themselves, including financially. If you put together an application packet and submit it to the governing committee of the fund (use the following OP poasting sequence: "SUMMON: XO Charitable Administration Governance Group") then you should be able to make a case for yourself. Many people here have had their lives turned around by a generous contribution from the fund and you yourself may be benefited from it if your cause is true and moral.
