Trump lies like a high-pressure salesman, relentlessly. But his lies are nearly always focused on a very real difference between his product (himself) and the competition (the other politician). he has a gift for putting his finger on a key differentiator. so his lies can be very effective even when you know that what he's saying is not true (eg, "Haitian immigrants are eating cats and dogs in Ohio" or "Garcia's knuckles literally say MS-13"). the unexpected result is that when his opponents and MSM scream that Trump is lying they actually undermine their own causes and benefit him. Trump is brilliant at that.

Biden lies constantly but not in the normal way that most people lie. Biden's strength was in saying something to address the emotional and rhetorical needs of that particular moment, and saying it with profound commitment and conviction whether or not it's remotely true or completely false. it's more a performance art than lying in the normal sense. the example par excellence was his utterly convincing self-bio that turned out to be the bio of a British politician.

in that recent debate clip about golf, Biden's old age has robbed him of the power to summon up the convincing tone of voice and therefore his age-old trick of saying false things looks utterly exposed and pathetic.

some time ago i poasted "A Typology of Liars" and analyzed the lying style of half-dozen politicians or so. sadly it was apparently modded out of existence.

my sense is quite different. it didn't "come with senility." you can see it in countless video clips dating back decades. he has always just wildly made up crazy ass false shit about himself.

Hillary Clinton’s output of lies is astonishing. On occasion she lies in a lawyerly way—intentionally leaving a false impression but not being literally false if analyzed sentence by sentence. When she and Obama lied about what prompted the Benghazi attack, they both were careful and lawyerly in how they created false impressions.

On other occasions Hillary lies in a self-aggrandizing way—like when she claimed to have landed under a hail of gunfire.

But her true forte is pathological, nearly psychopathic lying about others, often accomplished by a network of sycophants. Along with her minions (eg, Brock) she was the original purveyor of the “Obama was born in Kenya” lie; she and her team were the ones who masterly created, propagated, spread the Russian Collusion Hoax; and she pumped out the Trump45 is an illegitimate POTUS lie -- among other lies.

And she and Brock created the modern template of how to lie about and smear women who were raped or abused by men.

Hillary is a source of non-stop lies.

i truly believe that Hillary Clinton is an entirely different level. i know that she wrote her thesis on Saul Alinsky and it's tempting for me to believe that she is a devotee of Alinsky.
