Kept me riveted for the full 2+ hours and really lived up to the hype. All this time I thought he was a director of films that pseuds that went to places like Ithaca College pretend to like cause it gives them cred. But this was actually great. Pure cinema. And I watched the 4k blu ray, beautiful transfer. Next I will watch Seven Samurai. Might just fuck around and watch his entire filmography.

you'd probably enjoy one of his early films called something like 'men who tread on the tiger's tail.' it's much shorter and was made during wartime rationing, so it's not the most elaborate production, but it's about the use of stealth and strategy within a bad situation.
