Poor conditions Wrong directions Huge steep snow fields. Only do this if you are fully prepared for mountaineering and highly experienced with both glaciers and rock climbing. The trail is really difficult to follow/find once you hit snow and right now its really soft snow as well. This was by far the most freaked out I've felt on a mountain. Very steep, high fall potential, one wrong move could mean death. We started around 8am, which is way to late for this mountain. We summited around 5:45pm because we underestimated how close the summit really was, definitely looks way closer than it is. Then we didn't get back to the trailhead until 1:30am. Terrible place to be traversing in the dark. My all trail stats are way off because my location wasn't accurate all the time and when we finished I forgot to stop it until the following morning |
