These kids look like their parents have a shitload of disposable income and like they have never worked a job a day in their lives. Something about it lacks the traditional grit of a real band trying to make it. The production is incredible but the songwriting is very bad. |

Why do people like you insist that for something to be authentic it has to have exactly 3 fans and not be tolerable to the average person? Yes, bands like MCR and Green Day got incredibly famous. But wouldn't you also say that they achieved a lot more artistically than some obscure band with 1000 spins on their biggest song? You do realize that the reason this music is not famous is because it doesn't connect with a wide audience for specific reasons pertaining to the quality of the songwriting. at the end of the day, there is very little objectivity involved with music though, so these debates are always silly. i've gotten into it with friends trying to convince them that kraftwerk, the fall, etc. are good and it's pointless. |
