so far i think i've gleaned that:
-Humans experience meaning through 'Being in the world' - basically, our personal existence and interactions/experiences are what is real and meaningful, and not the rest of the universe around us (?)
-'Time' only appears to be "real"/salient to us because we are mortal and will eventually die, and thus as mortal beings we perceive time relative to this subjective reality
are these even correct? did he say anything else that's worth figuring out?

Technology enslaves us and colonizes our minds.
The interesting thing is not the thesis, which is common, but his perspective and approach.
Yes it’s worth reading. It’s just a few pages.

Dasein can only be appreciated by reading the antecedent philosophers from Descartes--Nietzsche and understanding how how significantly his idea of "being" differs from others.
I have not read his corpus and can only appreciate sein und zeit on a superficial level.
For Hegel (and a few others), I could give an incredible answer. Henry Silton Harris's "ladder" series systematically and effectively explains everything abput the phenomenology.
Hegel's lectures about prior philosophers really show how he knows his stuff. If you have experience with Descartes, Aristotle, Plato, Kant, Epictetus and others he's a delight to read.
If you have time, read this short chapter:

And no, Hegel was not a Marxist. Marx's philosophy was a projection of a part of Hegel's

ok i think i actually understand him now. read a bunch of analysis and summaries from other people. fuck reading his original words, he just babbles on forever
doesn't really seem that complex. what i wrote in my reply to lex is more or less the entirety of his philosophy. basically just another existentialist
