It's not really fun though.
There's no exploration really. You're just playing through the same levels repeatedly just to get to the boss, where you finally have a chance to try something different (use a different weapon on him).
I much preferred more open NES/SNES games like the Metroids, Bionic Commando, Goonies II, etc.

1 is janky and too hard because japs were pissed at americans about video game rentals
2-5 are masterpieces
6 and 8 are good
7 kinda forgettable
9 and 10 are awesome, 11 is really good
The x series is kinda gay and then it went off the rails a bit

2 and 3 are classics. Loved them.
Played and beat 1 and 4 also which were good but a step down. Had enough of the series by then and never bothered with the rest.
