i filed extension for my 2024 taxes and other day i realized i totaly furked up and maybe owe, i didnt realize that ST cap gain losses past 3k cannot be deducted from dividend/interest income
this is such retarded shit, they basically make it that even if u make 25k in div/interst income as a single mo u owe some taxes cause the single exemption is like 14.6k and u owe 10% on the first 11 something
this is furking retarded, they shld really just excempt the first 50k in income regardless of source

In your case I wonder why u don't just renounce u.s. Citizenship or just stop filing usa taxes if u don't plan to come back to USA. I.e. permanent resident of Panama, malaysia, etc pays 0 tax unless they are American.
Anyway countries on Mediterranean that have 15% or less(so I don't pay extra tax if I pay to usa): turkey, Greece, albania, montenegro

If you're moderately successful wagecuck and retire to a country like Spain , portugal or France with 5mil networth and 500k /yr dividend income, they will tax 1-2% of that 5mil/yr plus their rate on capital gains at least 28%, so about 10% extra tax on dividend income. Those countries are completely off-limits for permanent residency. Greece doesn't have any of that. They could only get you on ordinary income , i.e. social security, bank interest, but that's negligible. Negative about Greece they don't have Healthcare. I.e. if you get sick you die or fly out somewhere.
