PGA/Cohen is probably right MBS has told Yasir he can’t keep spending a billion dollars a year with zero revenue which basically means LIV will cease to exist. But Yasir apparently keeps demanding LIV exist in some form.
So I can guess we’ll see what unfolds - my friend Yasir, why don’t you stay at the Ritz Carlton for a month! |

ESPN forcememes whatever they have the rights to (in the 90s they went from tons of nhl coverage to nothing pretty much over night)
no "normie" really cares about golf outside of TIGER or the majors (same with tennis, except there's lot more shit to sell for golf, so it gets better sponsors)
the LIV forcememe is especially bad in the US, since the schedule is so over the place (there's only 14 and there are weeks between events) and half of them take place in the middle of the night (gotta wake up early to see Anthony Kim in Macau!)
anyway, the only reason LIV survives is because they guarantee 50-100 million a year to the top players - if they can't do that anymore, I think it dies (why is Bryson going to play next year when Rahm is making 100 million?)
The fact that they haven't offered a dumptruck of money to Bryson suggests Yasir no more blank checks. Of course there's the separate issue of bringing back Bryson to the PGA (Tour is still going nuclear on the guys who left, but I assume that's part of the reason they brought in the new CEO). |
