these changes were permanent, by the way. i didn't even chop as much wood in summer '24 as in '23, but my arms and wrists are still thicker. part of this might be because i also lifted up some fairly heavy rounds of wood from a chopped-up tree and carried them to the chopping site c. 50 feet away, several times per day.
