So younger me, when you read this, you need to know that I come from a future where Israel controls all American foreign policy, China is a peer competitor of the United States, and Russia has just defeated NATO in a war. Domestic politics are unbelievably fucked. There's a Columbine-style school massacre every week and nobody notices anymore. Parents are putting their sons into dresses and giving them puberty-blockers. The entire planet locked itself in its room the other year over a flu that only killed people over-80yo.
