Even if cryptocurrency is a ponzi scheme we are in the very early stages

after further consideration it's more like a mental infection
this forum is actually a fairly good illustration of that given the exponential spread of crypto-related mental illness
i've also propagated this illness offline and several of my colleagues have started setting up gemini accounts and i expect work to grind to a standstill as everyone spends their time trading cryptos

both are pretty damn amazing, but i would give the edge to btc (not for its actual long-term value but for the fact that it basically took an idea that would have been too strange for sci-fi and implemented it successfully)
i don't think these are ponzi schemes either -- bitcoin is secured by the huge computing resources devoted to it and eth is "secured" by the growing dev and computing resources devoted to it
but the current valuations are extremely speculative

You want to miss out.
It's way harder to time the market (two trades) than to buy the dip (one trade).
Just wait for the bursting of the bubble if you really have a hard on for crypto.
