Average IQ of a west African in its Natural state is from 45-60. I admit though, that we are talking specifically about American blacks so this may not be applicable, but thought I'd point it out. Also would add that an 80-85 IQ is equal to elementry school dropouts (completed 0-7 years of school) while 90 IQ is equal to the intellectual abilities of someone who completed 8th grade (High school graduates = 100, 2-3 years of college = 105 and college graduates = 112). Seems you are overestimating the abilities of someone with an 80s level IQ.
