I don't doubt they've been ordered to plan something like this. That's what units like that do, plan for contingencies. But Israeli special forces would be the ones to actually take risks like that.
There's a lot of talk that an operation like that could only be done by ground troops- it may be buried under too much rock even for B-2s. |

Date: June 14th, 2025 5:36 PM Author: balding lay It's a mountain facility, so if the only ingress and egress is through easily-defensible mountain roads then I can see a large special forces group supported by F-35s etc taking and holding it for as long as it takes to destroy it.
Iran probably didn't plan for special forces assaulting it when they designed it, and I've seen several reports that Israel's plan for the facility is to use special forces if they have to do it alone. If they think the survival of Israel is at stake then it makes sense to take the risk. |
