If the cases have any chance of ending up before a jury it's easily worth it. I saw my company pay a $7MM employment settlement for race-related shit that 100% did not happen. But this is a rounding error if you have a bad judge. Shit like this gets picked up and used against you in future cases if you don't settle them early.
