Internet fitness culture is obsessed with trends and "hacks" to find some kind of short-cut to a superior physique.
Old school body-building and lifting principles fucking work. They work great. Nutrition is not difficult to master. But every gym is full of these obnoxious homos who never picked up a weight in their lives until after college, but want to tell you all their MFE expert 'tips' and all about their retard routine. A huge chunk of these guys are Rippetoe cultists, and the rest are a panoply of dumbass lifting trenders who are willing to do anything except spend 18 hard months in the gym doing basic lifts and eating correctly.
