LITTLE ROCK, AR (KATV) — FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Students at the University of Arkansas received a text alert on Monday afternoon warning of an active shooter situation at Mullins Library.
The alert, sent just before 12:30 p.m. through the university's RazALERT emergency notification system, advised everyone to avoid the area surrounding the library, which is centrally located near the Student Union.
The message read: "RazALERT Emergency Notification: Avoid the area of Mullins Library due to an active shooter reported. Avoid. Deny. Defend."
