It’s a famous story that when His Majesty the Emperor was studying in the UK and got hooked on Super Mario at a friend’s house, he was asked why he didn’t buy a Famicom, to which he replied, “It’s not good to buy games with the taxpayers’ money.” However, since the Famicom hadn’t yet been released in Europe during His Majesty’s time studying in the UK, this is a fabricated tale. Who’s the one that made up this urban legend? |
