Bonfire Studios – A name. A flame that never burned. A promise that never kept.
Bethesda Game Studios – Todd stands there with his leather jacket. He says it just works. He sells you the same dust again. He smiles. He knows it doesn’t work. You buy it anyway.
343 Industries (Microsoft) – Custodians of a grave. They hold the Halo corpse and shake it for loose coins. Nothing more.
The Initiative (Microsoft) – “AAAA” they said. And yet the hands are empty. A studio that exists only on slides and resumes.
Rare (Microsoft) – Banjo is dead. Conker is dead. The sea is empty. They put avatars in pajamas and called it a day.
Turn 10 (Microsoft) – A car factory. Conveyor belts and rubber. Games indistinguishable from one another. The soul long gone.
Valve – A mall. A counter where you buy hats. Servers humming. No games. Just storefronts and nostalgia.
Nintendo – The plumber prints money. The plumber never ages. The company is not a developer, but a landlord of its own theme park. The games are masks for the same face.
Bioware – Two corpses propped up. The name is still on the sign, but the spirit is gone. Anthem. Andromeda. Nothing left.
Rockstar – Grand Theft Auto V. A decade. A single game milked for billions. “Redemption” was their last gasp. They do not make games. They monetize the memory of one.
Konami – Pachinko and gyms. The code rusts in the vault. They once made Castlevania. MGS Delta is a Joke and no one is laughing.
Blizzard – A festival of remasters and lawsuits. A studio that made titans but now curates rubble. Diablo became a casino. Warcraft became a brand.
id Software (Bethesda/ZeniMax/MS) – They tore Doom out of the ground one more time. They may never do it again. The edge is dulled.
Square Enix – They sell JPEGs of swords. They sell nostalgia by the ounce. They do not make games, they manage brands.
Sega – A memory of blue skies and arcades. Now a pachinko cousin. They trot out Sonic like a mascot at a children’s party.
Atari (modern) – A logo without substance. Slapped on hotels and crypto. Nothing of Atari remains.
