In 1999 we knew EXACTLY what was good and what wasn’t bc we had Curators. Now we have nothing. Am I supposed to be reading Kotaku or something? But journalism became retarded for some reason, possibly once “google” and “big tech” started to dominate advertising. The business model changed somehow. revenue shrunk and the only writers they have are illiterate URMs.
Like in 1997 I fucking knew that Star Fox 64 was going to be solid and that Titanic, even if a love story isn’t your thing, was a triumph. Also everyone knew TV was a joke and no one pretended otherwise. And you could watch some niche show like the outer limits or stargate and it’d probably be better than anything on Netflix atm. Now I’m not sure about anything. Discuss. |
