Not a stepfather. I'm the kid's father.

If not, who the fuck paid $40K to cover his first year expenses. Who washed him changed his poopy diapers, paid the plumber when he crammed a toy train down the toilet, fed him, taught him his ABCs, songs, took him to parks and museums and games, hugged him when he cried, built up his confidence, gave him milk milk milk 24-7 when he was a greedy little milkpig, who bought him Christmas toys, books, sat w him and talked w him, read night stories to him every damn night from the minute we brought him home, hosted little cheese pizza playdates, did birthday parties so he knows he's special, sat in those germy filthy kids playrooms, met w his teachers, sat thru his sports games, did his homework w him, took him to doctor visits, paid ER bill for when he crammed a tic-tac all the way up his nose, paid for violin, piano, taught him to swim, sent him to my wife's country of origin so he could spend time w my wife's mother and know who she is, who paid to clothe him, and love him and give him a sense of safety from which he can explore the world? I'm the kid's dad. It's as simple as that and you can joke about it all you want--hahahah "his" son--but he IS my son and watch the corruption of your own spirit that takes place when you joke otherwise.

And as for "Oh SP is so negligence as a parent his own kid was wandering around at night" well here's the question for all nonparents. "Where is the negligence in my actions" the kid being a smart kid, read harolds purple crayon and decided to go for a walk at night and snuck out and put his shoes on and went wandering down the street at midnight when no one could stop him because wife and I were asleep. If a kid is going to do that the first time and you have no notice of that WTF can you do? Immediately after it happened we told him never to do that again and we installed little alarm buzzers on the doors but you cant lock a kid in his room so yes it happened but it wasn't negligent parenting okay!? The kid is seriously a bit intellectually gifted and likes experimenting w a sense of autonomy. Jeez.
