Using a steel water bottle and glass storage containers to save you from plastics is like driving a Prius to end climate change. Date: January 8th, 2023 12:11 AM Author: Plum Kitty Cat I have the Anova Pro. It's big and girthy so that could be an issue for some, but it's quiet. I already had a foodsaver vacuum kit so that hasn't been an issue.
Vacuum kits are actually worth it separately from anything to do with sous vide because they keep your food fresh so much longer. The Henckels system is actually the most compact and easiest system if you're willing to make the up front investment. They only use glass containers for storage whereas Foodsaver uses plastic, and their handheld vacuum thingy takes up no counter space. |

The downside to having a 1200w device is that you can overload your circuit breaker much if you're using other electric appliances at the same time.
