Youtube is declining. No new creators, nothing new being made, just the same old videos being recommended over and over again.
Twitch is a shadow of its former self. Downright depressing. Streamers feel more like chained slaves than people trying to have fun.
Twitter is declining. Just foreigners pushing Al generated bait for money, and devs constantly tweaking the algorithm to rub your nose in it despite claiming to be trying to stop it. Incredible stagnation.
4chan is declining. Too many dedicated schizos. Every topic has one asshole with infinite proxies and a government welfare check so that they can spend every waking moment ruining all discussion. Can't talk about anything without receiving insane unjustified hostility. Retarded purity spirals about trannies and jeets. Netanyahu injected into a discussion about vtubers or tabletop games.
Reddit was always shit. Web forums are long dead. There are no big, fun Discord servers anymore; the devs just want to secure the bag and cash out so everything has to be made G-rated, and safe for fags and brown people.
Everything feels slower, like all the people have left. Empty shopping mall energy everywhere. This is despite more people having internet access than ever before.
Is there some other platform that isn't like this? A platform with actual thought and discussion? Or has everyone been absorbed into the Tiktok brainrot vortex?
What's going on with the internet? Did everyone just go outside? I don't understand how the internet 20 years ago, with less than half the people and a fraction of the bandwidth, felt more vibrant than what we have today.
