The unspoken truth about this Starmershit is that it's a total break from tradition. To see this you have to understand the oddities of UK law on this

1. The monarch always retains authority to remove a prime minister, and customarily does this when a PM becomes too politically weak to advance the crown's agenda.

2. Typically they don't wait too long. Queen Elizabeth didn't waste much time getting rid of BoJo or any of the others, really. Under her reign, Starmer would have been gone months ago

3. The holdup is that, as a legal technicality, the monarch does not actually fire the outgoing PM, but instead selects a replacement. In other words, Rishi Sunak had to be chosen (behind closed doors) to be PM before BoJo could be forced out.

4. The PM can also submit his resignation to the king, BUT in order to "accept" the PM's resignation, the king is again expected to have a replacement lined up

That's where Charles fell apart. He was too lazy or incompetent to locate a successor. He let Starmer twist in the wind for six months, and even when Starmer announced his resignation it took several more weeks for Charles to "accept" it. Look at the absurdity of Starmer saying "I'm out" and then staying on the job like that, while also being the least popular PM in UK history

Charles is also highly inbred and low IQ. He and Diana were even related. Harry really did everything he could to break with tradition when he married that girl

The monarch doesn't make any decisions. The PM resigns when they don't have the support of their party and the party nominates a new fag to take the old fag's place, and the monarch rubber stamps the new fag.

The queen didn't "get rid of Boris" or do anything at all ever.

Those elections are a sham. There's only one book that explains the "law" on this and it's fucked up. It's all common law, and it's all based on cases where one PM left office for one reason or another. The book makes it clear that the decision who to appoint as PM starts with an analysis of the circumstances under which the outgoing PM left office. The rules are different if the PM dies in office for example.

This is all complicated by the fact that the first person to formally use the title Prime Minister was Benjamin Disrareli in the late 19th century. So the case law begins there, making it quite thin.

But otherwise no, there is formal "election" that actually has to occur. Elections of one kind or another may be required as some kind of precursor to the announcement, but the parties can only choose from a short list that's approved by the monarch. There's no scenario where a PM gets through without the crown's approval. In this case Charles is a Labour shitlib but he took forever to give Labour an alternative to Starmer. Everyone was ready for Starmer to leave and Starmer himself said "I quit" a long time ago

It's up to the Labour party to pick someone by whatever means they choose internally, Charles doesn't do shit.

Then party leaders get told which party members Charles likes, and that's their bench. There's never anything like a popular vote because that would prevent the process from being rigged

This sounds like elaborate flame, because he's called the Chancellor of the Exchequer, not 'the Prime Minister'.

Burnham secured nominations from 349 MPs for the leadership election. By 13 July, he was the only candidate nominated, and it was mathematically impossible for anyone else to stand (under Labour rules, a leadership candidate must be nominated by 20 per cent of the party's MPs in order to stand).[187] He was therefore elected unopposed on 17 July and was appointed Prime Minister by King Charles III on 20 July.[188]

I don’t understand how this shit works. Seems like our way is more democratic. The Democratic Party seems like they want to do it the Shadowy way behind the scenes.

Like how does some idiot who’s selected by his party and can just be removed have the power to command the military? The military could just wait 6 months until the Pm is gone if they don’t feel like doing shit.

I think the parties are supposed to know who among their ranks has royal support, so they kinda know what their options are at any given time. The problem is that Elizabeth was in charge when most of the current elites were put there, and Charles has been too tuned out to know what's going on. The only thing anyone really knows about Charles is that he's a shitlib who believes in global warming, and I guess he loves Israel
