zurich, how's your salt water tank doing?

They’re conspecific so it’s hard to keep them all in a tank together. They nipped at each other a bit but seem ok now. The black tangs cost like $1500 apiece. I got two at the end of 2024 and both got killed by bigger tangs.
I put bubble tip anemone in the tank and it’s spread all over. Huge mistake. I need to get it all out. |

Date: July 21st, 2026 3:24 PM Author: racy voyeur 260. the display is 210, sump is 50. i wanted a bigger one (like 300-350) but the guy i got to install it only does Red Sea, and that's the biggest one they do.
i also had to get an engineer to analyze my floor to make sure the tank wouldnt cave it in and fall through into the basement. |

i'm kind of cheating bc i have a guy do all the water changes. i can't make that many trips up and down the stairs (RODI system is in the basement). my thought with the other tank was that i could maintain it myself. but fuck it, maybe ill get another massive tank. |
