One of his problems was that he wanted to start with an office of fairly high importance, and skip over the shitoffices at the city and county level. Well, those are important stepping stones. You learn a lot serving in those offices, about politics and about government. And you build your reputation. |

it's all pretty gross and no wonder we end up with such shitty politicians. but hey it's an institution i guess, gotta respect it, and the parties control access to power. |
