I finally looked it up myself tonight.

Apparently there were standards to qualify for Obamacare. During COVID, they expanded the pool of people who got the subsidies. Before you if made 4x the povery level, you wouldn't get the subisidy. But they changed it so everyyone gets a subsidy so long as their premium wouldn't exceed 8.5% of their bullshit tax income.

So it seems like the people at risk the most is someone who makes $150,000 with a family of 4. Prevously they would've paid a max of $13,000 - but private insurance is probably like $22,000.

Not saying that isn't a noteworthy goal, but the media isn't really covering that this is about making sure self-employed families making $150,000 receive taxpayer money to pay 8.5% of their income towards health insurance instead of 15%...
