Can't Buy A Thrill and Countdown To Ecstasy were both top notch, but later albums are in a completely different world in terms of harmonic complexity. Unfortunately, that doesn't always translate into great songs - I find most of Gaucho boring - but there are also plenty of unmitigated 180s among their later work, most notably Kid Charlemagne which has a colorable claim to being the GOAT rock song.
