--I don't get why this is so hard for people to grasp. If you want to riot or interfere or fuck with police, then you're making the cho*ice to play with your life and you're also strictly liable if anything happens to people who have legitimate purpsoe being there (especially police).
Rittenhouse is not guilty because people attacked him and he shot them.
The cops are not guilty because they were put in an explosive situations and had to make quick decisions (i think in these scenarios they probably made the wrong decisions, but it's sort of irrelevant).
If Rittenhosue had been shot by the police after popping out behind a wall carrying an assault rifle, then the police shouldn't be charged even though they mistakenly shot someone on their side. When you bring a gun into a combustible situation, or try to use your car to block police officers, or try to drive away from police officers, you're creating chaos and you own the consequences of that chaos. |
