Its increasingly like this everywhere. Some nigga pointed out once a city hits 5k per capita then it has all the material discretionary spending shit of a place with 50k+. My metric is how nice the supermarkets are, in Colombo they have these supermarekts that are nice as furk, clean modern fully stocked etc. Even in Kenya and shit ive seen shit like this. In fact its rare now NOT to see a nice supermarket. I feel when i first started traveling late 90s it wasnt common at all
Nice supermarkets mean there's at least a decent sized middle class that demands more than shit wet markets and crap stores
