Idk but it's so sad that Mussina's yankee years were bookended by championships.

Also that fucking carl everett single as the last batter while moose was pitching a perfect game

yeah, i was just thinking about that. he literally was off by a year in both directions.

given the yankees' storied history, i wonder if there's any yankee in the HOF who didnt win a championship... excluding guys who played very briefly for the yankees, like a trevor hoffman

1) he did win a WS elsewhere... i guess OP sort-of contemplated a guy who is a significant HOF yankee, and never won a WS period

2) if the question is no WS with the yankees.... interesting Q if he fits the bill. does anyone consider him "a yankee"? i think of him as an A. he did play 5 years. 3 less than moose. but i still dont think of him as a yankee like i think of moose as a yankee, even though he played half his time in baltimore.

either question is interesting.

if moose goes in, he played 8 years with the yankee and is a far more significant yankee than henderson.
