I was right about that, too. I make as much money as the average doctor or big-law type, anyhow, so it worked out well enough for me. No regrets.

I scored a 4 in AP Bio and Phys, a 5 in English, US History and Spanish, and a 3 in Chem. I also did some CLEP courses in Marketing, Psych and Soc.

It took me 6.5 years to finish undergrad, because I only went to school p/t.

I did not volunteer, but did work very briefly as an EMT 1, after doing an intensive EMT and first-aid instructor training program in a medical sciences class my senior year in hs.

I self-studied the MCAT and did ok.

You don't even have to tell me the medical school you got accepted to! Just list a couple you applied to that accepted your 3 score on AP Chem as credit for a full year of chemistry prereq. Of course, these same schools would also need to have a policy of accepting students who had unfinished prereqs, so you definitely don't want to forget that.

Anyway never failing to do better than a B when you're trying to round out science reqs is laudable. So what med school pre reqs did you have to take in college aside from orgo? I think you said that you blazed right through bio I and physics I with those AP scores. I think there are some other requirements, sometimes.

But also where did you end up applying and being accepted to? Getting into any med school, especially as a non-science major who was already focused on a burgeoning career in media and finance, is nothing to sneeze at.

I never said I placed out of Chem. I listed my AP scores, as well as CLEP subjects.

They also don't list ALL the exceptions, just a few notable ones.

Note also that you can many times get credit for the lecture/course, itself, then you need to take the lab once in college.

Remember that NO medical school lets you place out of a YEAR with AP Credits. So far, we've established that Hopkins and HMS let you place out of a semester of introductory prereqs with AP scores, but they still highly recommend that you take a YEAR of bio, physics, chem, orgo (introductory or not).
