if one of those judges, then yeah it's more prestigious than a summer at some v50 firm like k&l, but the k&l summer is more likely to end in a guaranteed offer of employment at the same office, whereas the person who spends the summer with one of those judges will need to keep looking, although they may be in a position to find a similar job without much effort.
