Professors had until today to turn in grades. Even if all professors made the deadline, I am not sure if grades will be out this week. In years past it's taken a while. Hang in there.

They typically (both of the semesters I was there and both of the semesters before that as my 2L -then- friends told me) come out the second day after grades are due, filtering in one at a time over about an hour and then when they're all processed the registrar will email...therefore Wed afternoon is the correct response.
PS - When you see the Registrar chainsmoking outside, remind him to get inside and process grades...I often thought of bribing him with a carton...

You have my schedule from last year.
Dana: KNOW ZONING AND KNOW TAKINGS -- THEY WILL BE ON THE TEST -- LIKELY IN TWO OR THREE QUESTIONS IN MULTIPLE PLACES. I can't stress that enough...that's where most people f'ed up. He didn't focus on RAP very much so know the basics of it but don't get all up in arms over it. Read the law review articles as he will ask about them and certainly read the zoning book he assigns for the final, very helpful.
Jacobi: Last year was her first semester teaching, so she may have changed in some manner, but this got me a damn fine grade last year. Outline Chemerensky's Hornbook. If you have not bought it yet, do so...immediately. She won't go very deep in class discussion or in what she expects, but will expect a very broad knowledge base. Read the hornbook and know it...let me repeat this because it's important -- know the hornbook. Last year she basically lectured directly from it.

First, the hornbook is the black paper back, second edition I believe (0735524289).
Yes, I forgot about that. She gave an option of another question on the test (take home), a paper beforehand, or a debate. I did the debate (not sure if she's doing that again, but it was a big success last year) and got a great grade on the debate portion...she really likes it when you participate in those sorts of things and the grades on the debate were for each of the 4 teams, A, A, A-, B+. We put a bit of work into it but nothing extravagant.
Speaking of, got an email addy, I'll send you some stuff.

Above 40, the mandatory curve kicks in. Below 40, I believe it is discretionary.
I haven't taken any Kellogg classes, but Kellogg's curve is somewhat different (Kellogg has no A+'s and so forth), so I imagine that certain considerations must be made.

"Wow, congrats Fish. Didn't you start out in a rough place this time last year?"
Very. I was literally considering dropping out.
"When my grades at Chicago put me in the bottom 10% of the class next week, you'll be my inspiration to keep fighting!"
You'll be fine. Also, I'll freely admit that Chicago is a better law school with better employment prospects (particularly for the bottom 10%).

I have to ask, though I know it must be an annoying question:
What was your secret?
Did things just start clicking? Did you work more on exam strategy/writing or pay more/less attention to readings? Build your own library of hornbooks?
edit: thanks re: above. Right now I am freaking out about my 1L summer since I seem to be the only person in the 1L class who hasn't gotten one single interview with ANYBODY. If my grades are crap then I'm really screwed.

First of all, don't worry about 1L summer. Plenty of HYS students don't get a summer firm gig and do just fine come 2L.
As to improving grades:
1. I stopped focusing on going through the motions. Outlining didn't help, so I stopped doing it. Study groups didn't help, so I dropped them.
2. I realized that I sucked at 3 hr law school exam classes. So I stopped taking classes that had them.
3. Some classes are known for being hard graders. I avoided those. A lot of people said "you should take class X with prof X because while its 500000 hours of work and he's a hard grader you learn so much!" Don't do it.
4. I found that I'm good at some things (Law and Econ). So I took both courses in that my school offered. Both very enjoyable As.
Most importantly: realize that what works for me or anyone else may not work for you. Maybe you'll be great at 3 hour exams. Then by all means, keep taking them. I was awesome at legal research and writing, and I'm good at papers. I just suck at brain dumping crap.
Its too early for you to worry about what to do if you messed up. You may have done great, in which case just keep doing what you're doing.

Any idea on the cutoffs for top 1/4, top 1/3, top 1/2?

All of these are guesses, but:
1/2 is around 3.3, I think.
1/3 is probably around the cum laude, which is 3.65.
No idea what top 1/4 is.
