Date: May 5th, 2008 9:23 PM Author: lascivious bright gas station factory reset button it's not even necessarily about being an SA or making $$$. there are countless fellowships/other experiences which may not amount to much money, but certainly a more interesting story than being a camp counselor (not that it wouldn't be fun, like i originally mentioned).
it's just a matter of preference really. |

Date: May 5th, 2008 9:25 PM Author: razzle-dazzle effete elastic band As a UG, I would go for fun over interesting or prestigious. Date: May 5th, 2008 9:37 PM Author: self-centered pearl personal credit line double fault It's just really sad that small law posters can't even keep up with a regular argument. Let me try to take it slowly for you Cooley grads. We're comparing between two things: OP's summer and SA. OP's summer is summer camp. It isn't "college life" at large. Stop changing the subject just because you know you're getting fucking pwned |
Date: May 5th, 2008 9:42 PM Author: razzle-dazzle effete elastic band Who cares if it's at a summer camp? The beauty of college is not having responsibility and having tons of free time to get fucked up with friends. Working at a summer camp provides even more free time and less responsibility than taking classes does, since your grades have some impact on your future.
You're touchy about this because you expect your summer of "fun" eating at restaurants with partners and fellow summers who you will soon grow to hate to make up for missing out on the fun summers that normal cool people experienced during college. |

Here's the thing. Losers on xoxo have no friends and no one would voluntarily spend time with them, so they prefer making money and going out to dinner with assholes at their law firm to being freeto hang out with their friends all day. Xoxo losers think going to biglaw receptions is the same sort of fun that you have drinking with your friends all summer and having not a responsibility in the world, only because they've never had friends or a decent social life of their own. |

Date: May 5th, 2008 9:32 PM Author: razzle-dazzle effete elastic band I don't think you photocopy at a summer camp. This is the difference between us: you expect your job to provide your fun and excitement for the summer but I'd rather be 21 again, have no reasponsibilities and able to spend all day sleeping in, smoking and drinking with college buddies.
If you would honestly rather be a law student than a college student, well, I pity your college experience. |
Date: May 5th, 2008 9:36 PM Author: self-centered pearl personal credit line double fault Stop changing the subject. We're strictly comparing between summer associate and summer working at camp. That's OP's summer, working at summer camp.
You're not sleeping in, smoking and drinking at a summer camp. But keep straw-manning if you want.
Given your reasoning skills, it's no wonder you're in small law. How was Pittsburgh? |
