The might of the U.S. military and intelligence apparatus is tremendous, but the Taliban in Afghanistan were impossible for us to wipe out and they had around 10,000 men, only 2,000-3,000 of which were full-time professionals. If 1% of Trump voters would be moved to violence, that's 620,000 people. That's a counterinsurgency nightmare, even in a land and culture you already know and can freely move troops through. There comes a point at which numbers of angry men matter more than the technological disparity. I think we're going to reach that point in the next 10 years if Dems solidify power.
