First year at a small litigation shop and I'm always thinking that I'm on the verge of getting fired.

This feeling doubles everytime I make a mistake, or churn out an unimpressive brief. It's beta as fuck.

first year in a small to midsized lit practice as well. Being in a small practice can be scary as fuck too because it's more likely one of your mistakes will make it into something that gets filed. I think that happened to me recently and I really hope no one notices.

i feel you. at least in biglaw you know you're all but guaranteed to last one year. in small firms the hiring/firing is so casual and you feel like you can be canned any minute.

getting fired is a blessing. finding a new job is getting easier than ever if you play your cards right too.
