Is that you cannot even debate certain issues. Even suggesting that darkening one's skin to go as Diana Ross for Halloween isn't that bad is enough to bring down the opprobrium of shitlibs.
Have a debate and show her why she is wrong-- convince her that her stance is insensitive. Maybe even be convinced that she has a point. No. Can't do that. Simply by raising the issue she has to be blackballed.
Same thing with statues of Confederate soldiers. You have to start the debate by saying, "No reasonable person supports keeping statues of Confederate soldiers." Any attempt to discuss the issue is short-circuited.
Not a healthy way to improve race relations in the country.

few random thoughts-
1) what Kelly is talking about clearly isn't an example of any racial malice anyone should be offended by, if anything, its inverse is what people should be offended by
- white kid wants to go to Halloween as the Black Panther or Antonio Brown, and the parent who says, 'ok, no big deal' is the racist? Is the enlightened position that white kids shouldn't look up to black people?
2) If I was passing out candy and a white kid showed up as Antonio Brown in black face, I wouldn't think the kid is racist. I would think their parents are tragically naïve morons
-part of being a parent is teaching your kid how to navigate the world of faux pas, even the ones that a fairly nonsensical, blackface is a well enough known faux pas that this seems like a fairly egregious dereliction of parental duty
