PTA is pretty hit and miss for me. boogie nights, magnolia and there will be blood were great. i thought the master was decent, but kind of slow and boring. inherent vice was a retarded jumbled mess of boring. i don't remember too much about phantom thread but i remember liking it but, like the master, thinking the pacing was super slow.
this movie just plain sucked. no plot, just a bunch of dumb ass vignettes of young people running around LA in the 70s. described that way, it sounds like it could be a great movie. oh, but it isn't. |

also it appears every single character is ugly. why exalt the ugly?
when Dune eventually started I saw Leto Atreides like a greek god, and the comparison was as stark as anything. |
