Around this time, April 2020 we hit the road and drove west, stayed on the road for months. I "worked" through phone calls and zoom court. Hardly saw more than 10 people gathered at any moment, and it was a guarantee you'd never meet a lib.
I think back on camping in the desert, climbing mountains, swimming in rivers, sleeping in the bed of the truck. Sometimes we'd land in a hotel and have it to ourselves.
Felt like the entire country was ours.
I miss covid so much.

Then Id look up from my phone at where i was, and the videos felt alien. I remember once in a campsite outside of san antonio, and I had just turned my phone off with videos of riots in our hometown. I walked over to a campfire and some family of superfat black people were sitting there, offering the kids BBQ and beans, lol. They were 18000. Guy gave me beer and when the topic of Floyd came up, we both kind of stared at each other, unsure who was a lib, and then lolled.
