Worth Transferring from Vandy to UVA/Duke?

I kind of like my friends and everything here and don't really want to start over at a new school. How much more prestigious is UVA? Will I have better job prospects at UVA? I regularly worked with Vandy grads in NY. I've heard from friends that they place fairly well in terms of federal clerkships, too. When I told the same people I might get off the waitlist at Stanford, they asked "Aren't you already in at Duke?" They would then conceed that either would be a great choice.
So yah, Duke has more lay prestige than Boalt or Cornell. |
