Are any of the Dirty Harry sequels good?

Only other series I can think of that fits that pattern is the original Planet of the Apes? |

Although low-budget, the rest of the Apes movies were interesting though as they formed a coherent story from one movie to the next, each movie showing different parts of the overall world timeline. None of the movies were "great" by themselves but a 5-movie sci-fi world-building epic is a rare thing to even get made. |

I didn't care for the whole time travel plot in the sequels. It would've been better to have a plausible origin story like they had in the James Franco movie, rather than the future apes sort of bringing themselves into existence by going back in time. |

I thought the time loop paradox was kind of a cool idea. It seems hackneyed now but at the time it was probably more fresh. |
