Durant at his max potential could be incredible, but you can get decent similar players in the league. If Oden maxes out, he's the next Tim Duncan. |

Obviously Duncan's a great PF (center) but his good guards substantially contributed to his greatness.
The same thing is going on with Amare and Steve Nash. Amare is clearly one of the top 5 big men in the game. But Nash gets the accolades, and deservedly so. Phoenix is a middle tier team without Nash. But are they a middle tier team without Amare? Of course not: Amare was hurt a lot during the last 2 years and Phoenix was still one of the best in the west. |
