Any chance at all the Blazers take Kevin Durant?

sure they do. They need a durant, their stacked with Odens. Which would you go for?
On the flip side, Seattle has a durant in Lewis, they need an Oden.
They better work out a deal.

ORLY? Because I look here:
http://www.nba.com/blazers/roster/
...and this roster doesn't seem to have any 7 foot studs with superstar potential. All I see is Joel Przybilla and Luke Schenscher (without his posse). Durant at his max potential could be incredible, but you can get decent similar players in the league. If Oden maxes out, he's the next Tim Duncan.

This league is moving away from being a big mans league.
Oden isn't anything like Tim Duncan. Thats a big IF doc.

"This league is moving away from being a big mans league."
Since 99 it's been the Duncan Spurs (x4), Shaq Lakers (x3) and Heat, and the Pistons.

All you have to do is look at teams like Minnesota - who have had arguably one of the best big men in recent history for a while now, but haven't had any guards to complement him, and thus have pretty much sucked - and it'll all make sense. Obviously Duncan's a great PF (center) but his good guards substantially contributed to his greatness.
The same thing is going on with Amare and Steve Nash. Amare is clearly one of the top 5 big men in the game. But Nash gets the accolades, and deservedly so. Phoenix is a middle tier team without Nash. But are they a middle tier team without Amare? Of course not: Amare was hurt a lot during the last 2 years and Phoenix was still one of the best in the west.

Tony Parker was supposed to put up the numbers he did against the Cavs. He matched up with a corpse in 1-2 and a rook in 3-4. Duncan's old, but he's not Shaq just yet.
(and Shaq... I'll give you that one)

YOu don't hold superstars to pedestrian standards, you hold them to superstar standards, and those number for game 4 were quite pedestrian.
How was the FG and FT %age?

Now that would be just stupid.
The point is not to have Durant and Lewis on the same squad, cuz they might not mesh well.

WRONG.
Not in hindsight, but at the time Bobby Knight told them to pick Jordan and said "then play at him center" in response to the Drexler argument.
HTFH.

Another factor ya'all aren't taking into consideration is the Blazers' current place in the Portland community. They used to *BE* Portland before falling into the whole Jailblazers thing. They're just now beginning to win people over again. They can't afford the beating they'd take in the press if they took Durant, even if they really believe he's the better guy.

They potentially could have both the best PG and C in the league. This team is a future dynasty. book it.

LOL, mybad Greg.
It's going to take a minute before you can contribute like Durant. You'll probably be on the Eddie Curry career trajectory, slow to warm up but becomes a beast in about 6 years.
