Stanford MA in Communication - credited or cash cow?

Would love to be speechwriter, communications director, press secretary... within print and broadcast journalism would love to be a political reporter, broadcast journalist, writer...
I am about to begin my last year of UG at a TTT university (CUNY in NYC) and graduate with BA in Political Science and Econ. If I was unable to get one of the above-mentioned jobs upon graduation, I was thinking of pursuing 1 yr MA in Communications from a top school to strengthen my resume (in addition to internships I have).
Thoughts? |

i know the graduate center at CUNY has a good program, but it has nowhere near the cachet that other schools have and i'm really interested in cultivating a career where i'd reasonably be able to progress into the higher echelons of political PR or political journalism. |

If you feel like you can't write speeches without grad school, then go to the cheapest one possible, then find an upstart congressman to work for.
